Hi, I’m Shelby Green, founder and owner of Almost Home Web Design, established in 2026.
The name “Almost Home” is deeply personal to me. It comes from my Grandfather’s favorite song, Almost Home—a song that captures a feeling of peace, simplicity, and being just on the edge of something meaningful. One verse always stayed with me, painting a picture of carefree moments and the comfort of finding your way back:
“I just climbed out of a cottonwood tree
I was running from some honey bees
Drip-drying in the summer breeze
After jumping into Calico Creek…
Man, I wish you'd just left me alone
’Cause I was almost home.”
That feeling—of being close to home, to belonging—is what I want every client to feel when they see their website come to life.
The bee in my logo also carries special meaning. It’s a tribute to someone very dear to me, my friend Hillary, as well as my Grandfather. Both of them passed away from cancer, and this symbol is a small way I carry their memory with me in everything I build.
